SPATIAL VIDEO Exploring Space Using Multiple Digital Videos
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper pre sents and discusses a new approach to collect, organize and explore multiple digital videos on a spatial basis. We present a methodology based on direct video frame indexation to the real space represented in the video images. This approach facilitates the exploration of space through multiple videos. An illustrative application of this technology for multimedia spatial information systems is provided. Future developments related to the three-dimensional explorations of space using digital video are also discussed.

A Method to Reduce Effects of Packet Loss in Video Streaming Using Multiple Description Coding
Multiple description (MD) coding has evolved as a promising technique for promoting error resiliency of multimedia system in real-time application programs over error-prone communicational channels. Although multiple description lattice vector quantization (MDCLVQ) is an efficient method for transmitting reliable data in the context of potential error channels, this method doesn’t consider disc...
متن کاملVideo Subject Inpainting: A Posture-Based Method
Despite recent advances in video inpainting techniques, reconstructing large missing regions of a moving subject while its scale changes remains an elusive goal. In this paper, we have introduced a scale-change invariant method for large missing regions to tackle this problem. Using this framework, first the moving foreground is separated from the background and its scale is equalized. Then, a ...
متن کاملObjective and Subjective Evaluation of Spatially Transcoded Videos for Mobile Receivers
Digital television produces video signals with different bit rates, encoding formats, and spatial resolutions. To deliver video to users with different receivers, the content needs to be dynamically adapted. Transcoding devices convert video from one format into another. The reception of digital videos using mobile receivers, implies that the spatial resolution of the video must be adjusted to ...
متن کاملDesign and Evaluation of Contextualized Video Interfaces
If “a picture is worth a thousand words,” then a video may be worth a thousand pictures. Videos have been increasingly used in multiple applications, including surveillance, teleconferencing, learning and experience sharing. Since a video captures a scene from a particular viewpoint, it can often be understood better if presented within a larger spatial context. We call such interactive visuali...
متن کاملDynamic Multi-video Summarization of Sensor-Rich Videos in Geo-Space
User generated videos are much easier to be produced today due to the progress in camera technology on mobile devices. The ubiquitous built-in sensors in digital devices greatly enrich these videos with sensor descriptions, especially geo-spatial properties. A repository of such sensor-rich videos can be a great source of information for prospective tourists when they plan to visit a city and w...
